Horizon Credit Union has been recognised by ‘Your Money Magazine’ with the Editors Choice award for Best Credit Union Secured Fixed-Rate Loan. The award is confirmation that Horizon is delivering a product that is highly competitive, not just locally but nationally.
The Fixed New Car Loan product was introduced on the 1st of July 2011 so while it’s still very new to the market it has already made a considerable impact. Horizon has always pitched its new car loan rate very competitively and the rate in itself is one of the best in Australia.
The ‘Your Money Magazine’ award is for the credit union category but even when compared with the major banks, Horizon still came out with the best interest rate, beating one of the big four by a big four percent.
Horizon’s CEO, Jon Stanfield, said the award was a great endorsement of the outstanding value Horizon offers members.

Melbourne Cup Branch Display Nowra 2010
The Nowra community was set to join the 150th Melbourne Cup celebrations when the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) arrived in town on Wednesday, 13 October, with the 2010 Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour.
The iconic cup, worth $180,000, was accompanied by Tour Ambassadors Mr Mark de Mestre, the grandson of the first Melbourne Cup winning owner and trainer, Etienne de Mestre, and former Racing Victoria chief steward, Mr Des Gleeson.
The Shoalhaven Turf Club held a competition inviting local businesses to decorate their window or place of business in Melbourne Cup theme.
Horizon Credit Union, always keen to be a part of community events, participated and subsequently won the competition. Staff and members enjoyed a once in a lifetime opportunity of getting up close and personal with Melbourne Cup as its entourage stopped into the branch to enjoy the award winning display.

Horizon not only achieved a CANSTAR CANNEX Five Star Rating on one of our products, but two!
CANSTAR CANNEX Five Star Ratings were given to our Loan Secured by New Motor Vehicle and Visa Credit Card. Horizon is overjoyed by these awards as only the top 5% of products in each category, where over 500 personal loans where analysed, achieved a Five Star Rating.
